Knoxville Secret City Open Tournament August 2014 Participants Information

The tournament is officially full.   On behalf of the KTTC, we thank every one who has turned in their entries early.  Also, we apologize to those who we have to turn down for their entries due to the space and table limits.  At this point (7/26/14), we can only take down entries for stand-by list.

Notes About the Tournament:

• The main gym will open at 8:00 a.m. for check-in and warm-up
• Please make sure that you sign the USATT Waiver form at check-in.  We cannot report the tournament results without your signature.  Parents/Legal Guardian will sign the form on behalf of the junior players.
• Players meeting will start at 8:45 a.m. and competition will start at 9:00 a.m.  Due to the high number of players, we will start on time and if you are late, your group will play around you first.  But if you are too late after all the matches are played among other group members, your matches will be defaulted and you won’t be able to participate for the rest of the tournament.
• If you are one of the top four rated players per the list below, your check-in time will be 11:00 a.m.  If you don’t see anyone at the main check-in area, simply continue to proceed to the main gym and walk down the stair case to the control desk.  The Tournament Director will check you in.
• Concession food stand will be opened during the event.  Their prices are affordable and the quality of food is good.  Their staff are also extremely helpful.  Since the event is also served as a fund-raiser event for the Oak Ridge High School Volleyball team, KTTC highly encourage every one to help them out by using their services.
• About the Upset Gold Dollar, please remember, you have to have a formal USATT rating before you can earn the Upset Gold Dollar.  If this is your first USATT sanction tournament, you are not entitled to the Upset Gold Dollar prize money.
• The City of Oak Ridge has installed quite a few speeding cameras.  So please be sure to observe the speed limit or you may end up paying something extra for it.
• On Saturday, 8/2/2014, there will be a farmer’s market in front of the Oak Ridge Public Swimming Pool area, which is also on Providence Road.  So just make sure you drive pass it and continue on Providence Road and you will see the Gym structure on your right.

Notes About Venue Direction:

If you are setting your GPS or using Google map, use the following address: 138 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 as a reference point.  Once you arrive to the gym, please walk up to the stairs to the main entrance of the gym.

If you use Oak Ridge High School as a land mark, you will arrive the front of the high school.  But the gym in on the back side accessible via the Providence Road.  So please make a note to this.  See the map below for reference.  (You may need to zoom in to see the details.)

Confirmed Players

The following are the individuals whose entries are confirmed and the list is ranked by rating based on the time the entry form was entered.  Latest rating posted on Friday morning August 1st, 2014 will be used to prepare the final draw.

Also, if you are one of the top four rated players, you will get an automatic bye in the first round. You will be placed in the Championship Round Robin in the second round.
